Talking point: Invest Alberta did not answer The Logic’s questions about why Christiaanse resigned. The organization has yet to start a search for a permanent replacement, said director of communications and external relations Gemma Acworth, and “cannot speculate on a time frame.” Chief operations officer Keith Bradley, who joined the organization in November 2023, is serving as acting CEO. Alberta announced the creation of the Crown corporation in June 2020 to promote the economic advantages of doing business in the province in a bid to reverse what it saw as a trend of a flight of capital investment. Since then, the organization claims to have created nearly 39,000 jobs and supported more than $28 billion in investment.
