The Toronto-based health-and-wellness platform for new and expecting parents said it will make its services available to customers of Maple, a telemedicine provider, at a 25 per cent discount in what it called its “largest partnership to date.” (The Logic)
Talking point: Toronto-based Maple has backing from Loblaw’s Shoppers Drug Mart, which has been working on a connected-health strategy that includes digital services and physical offices. Last year, Maple added psychotherapy to its platform, and in early 2022 it acquired Wello, a Calgary-based virtual health-care provider. Maple CEO Brett Belchetz called the deal with Koble “a natural partnership” in a statement. Koble, which raised a US$1-million pre-seed round last year, has created an app to support new and expecting parents. The company is excited to bring its services to more families “in a disjointed health-care system,” said founder Swati Matta in a statement.
