Talking point: “I think there’s certainly going to be some clampdown. But how meaningful it will be, in terms of requiring a breakup or anything like that, is not clear,” Tett said. She expects at least some token reform, as well as the new administration joining forces more with Europe, especially France on the taxation of the Big Tech companies. “In many ways, given where the Biden administration stands on the taxation issue, that could be a more likely avenue of activity.”
