Talking point: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said the company aims to deliver between 360,000 and 400,000 vehicles this year. It still can if it breaks this new record and delivers around 105,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter. The firm has struggled to hit Musk’s production goals before. Tesla workers have reported working in severe weather conditions and being told to take shortcuts, like skipping previously required testing, to meet targets. One factor that could help is its new factory in China, where, according to Reuters, production is expected to start this month.
