Talking point: Nuvei’s results underscore how dramatically its business has grown in a year. Aside from net income, total payments volume increased 146 per cent to $21.9 billion from $8.9 billion, and revenue increased 114 per cent to $178.2 million from $83.3 million. That’s not including its acquisition of gaming payments provider Mazooma, which closed Aug. 3. Meanwhile, the company said it expects its other major acquisition this year—crypto payments company Simplex—to close in the second half of 2021. In light of the strong performance, Nuvei increased its guidance for the full year ending Dec. 31, to between $295 million and $305 million in adjusted EBITDA, up from between $264 million and $277 million.
