The Quebec City-based auto software firm said it expects to be listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol LDTC after merging with Prospector, a blank-cheque company founded in 2021 by former Qualcomm president Derek Aberle. The transaction gives LeddarTech a US$348-million pro-forma equity valuation. (The Logic)
Talking point: Founded in 2007, LeddarTech announced a debt facility from Desjardins Group and a Series D round last February, which amounted to US$140 million. Unnamed sources told La Presse that the raise was likely one of the final steps toward a public offering. The company expects to use the cash proceeds of up to US$66 million to help commercialize its software solutions and expand product offerings. While LeddarTech’s headquarters are in Quebec City, it has R&D offices in Montreal, Toronto and Tel Aviv.
