Natale’s $25-million-plus claim for wrongful dismissal and breach of contract alleges that since firing him in November 2021, the company has reneged on richer terms he negotiated after a first abortive attempt by chair Ed Rogers to get rid of him that September. None of the allegations in Natale’s suit have been tested in court. Rogers spokesperson Sarah Schmidt told The Logic a counterclaim is coming, on the grounds that Natale “awarded himself excessive compensation without proper board approval” once he knew his job was under threat, and that Rogers has retroactively fired him for cause.
