Talking point: TransCrypts, co-founded by cousins Zain Zaidi and Ali Zaheer, helps users bypass traditional background checks by streamlining employment and income verification through a blockchain-based platform. In 2022, it launched an initiative to help Ukrainian health-care organizations and refugees access medical records securely. TransCrypts plans to double the size of its team in the next year, focusing on hiring for its Toronto office.
