Talking point: The Toronto-based password-management firm said in a blog post that Kolide will help its customers improve cybersecurity, as remote and hybrid workers access their accounts across multiple devices and locations. The company previously acquired Passage as it added passkey technology to its offerings. 1Password CEO Jeff Shiner told The Logic in August that much of the firm’s previous US$620-million funding round was still set aside for potential acquisitions. Shiner told TechCrunch on Tuesday that Kolide CEO Jason Meller will be vice-president of product at 1Password.
