Talking point: The energy sector at large is bullish on the news of Tuesday night’s election. What remains at risk are the impacts on renewable energy sources and green-energy technologies under Kenney: the former NDP government had promised to source up to 30 per cent of the province’s electricity from renewable energy. The new UCP government’s platform, instead, said it would “welcome market-driven green power.” Kenney also plans to scrap the programs under Energy Efficiency Alberta.
