A German court granted Qualcomm its second injunction against Apple on Thursday, banning it from selling some iPhone models in the country that use chips from Intel and parts from supplier Qorvo. (CNBC)

Talking point: The move follows an injunction granted by a Chinese court earlier this month,, which ruled that iPhones 6S through X were infringing on Qualcomm’s patents. Apple is appealing both decisions. The German ban won’t immediately take effect, but Apple said that during the appeal process, it will remove iPhone 7 and 8 models from its 15 retail stores throughout Germany. All models will, however, still be sold through telecoms and third-party retailers.
