Half of the money will be invested in Trilogy shares and warrants, and the other half will be used to buy Trilogy shares held by Australian backer South32, which is working on a joint venture with Trilogy. Titan Mining, a New York zinc concentrate producer that wants to grow its graphite business, saw its Toronto-listed shares rise over 25 per cent in price Tuesday after it disclosed that it was in talks with the U.S. Export-Import Bank, while Lithium Americas’ shares saw a similar bump when the U.S. government took a stake in the Vancouver-based firm on Oct. 1.
