The Logic obtained several documents through access to information requests that provide insight into how Ottawa may respond to the significant tax reform enacted by U.S. President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress in December 2017.

The documents themselves, which include an assessment of which Canadian industries may have lost their comparative tax advantage with the U.S., as well as detail on how much the federal government hoped provincial government’s would cut taxes, are only available to subscribers.
