The furniture is for a planned Carrizo Springs, Texas-based camp run by government contractor BCFS that will reportedly hold 1,600 migrant children. On Monday, Wayfair said it will not agree to the demands of a petition signed Friday by 547 employees, which called for it to stop doing business with migrant camps. Employees now want the firm to donate all profits from the transaction to legal-aid non-profit RAICES, and to create a code of ethics for business-to-business sales. Wayfair announced it will be donating US$100,000 to American Red Cross to provide basic necessities for people at the border “in dire need.” (Boston Globe, Washington Post)
