Talking point: After holding roundtable sessions with stakeholders, the government will establish working groups focused on key elements of the open banking framework, such as accreditation and technical standards, according to spokesperson Alexandra Bernier. Finance Canada also said that Tachjian will report directly to Boissonnault, with support from a secretariat within the Department of Finance and “external experts, as required.” The lead will advise the government on how to administer the system in the future, Finance Canada said.
