Talking point: Last December, Mastercard said it would cease allowing its payment services to be used on Pornhub after a review of the site uncovered unlawful content. The review came after a New York Times column said Pornhub, which is owned by Montreal-founded MindGeek, was “infested with rape videos.” Shortly thereafter, Pornhub banned downloads, restricted unverified uploads and pulled at least 10 million videos from the platform.
