Talking point: The conversion is contingent on Huge Shops being granted approvals from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The news comes a week after the Ontario government announced it would issue up to 25 licences in January for cannabis stores, selected by lottery. Ontario residents can currently only legally buy cannabis through the Ontario Cannabis Store, an online store run by the government using Shopify’s e-commerce platform.
