YouTube brought in US$15.15 billion in ad revenue last year

Alphabet’s fourth-quarter earnings, released late Monday, also showed that ad revenue from Google Search and advertising grew to US$98.12 billion in 2019, up from US$85.3 billion the previous year. Cloud sales rose more than 50 per cent to US$8.9 billion, while the company’s “other bets”—like Sidewalk Labs and Verily, the life-sciences R&D shop—posted an operating loss of over US$2 billion for the fourth quarter of 2019.
