Uber plans to move into grocery delivery amid US$5-billion loss


    Uber Eats’ user base was up 140 per cent in the second quarter compared to the previous year, while revenue from its core ride-hailing business grew 14 per cent, the smallest quarterly increase on record. Uber has been testing the delivery of groceries and prepared meals from grocery stores in Australia, and is currently in talks to extend the trial to Europe and North America. (Financial Times)
