Third Canadian institution to return research grant from FTX charity

Western University received US$150,000 from the charity arm of the bankrupt crypto empire for a project on resilient food sources led by professor Joshua Pearce. Western “stands behind the research that has been funded with this grant and the support it has provided to graduate students to complete their important work,” acting vice-president of research Bryan Neff told The Logic in an emailed statement, but it’s sending the money back and is looking for other sources of funding. (The Logic)
