Some 4.6 million Quebecers will benefit from the cuts, with individuals saving up to $814 this year, according to Finance Minister Eric Girard. The government will reduce its payment to its Generations Fund, established in 2006 to reduce the province’s long-term debt, to cover the expected $9.2-billion total cost of the cuts. (The Logic)
