OSC charges CEO of cryptocurrency firm Peblik with fraud

The charges relate to an initial coin offering, or ICO, where Peblik raised about $550,000 from at least 28 investors in Ontario from January 2018 to August 2019. The Ontario Securities Commission alleges Peblik CEO Stephan Katmarian falsely told investors the value of the Peblik Token was backed by a US$4.8-billion mineral resource deposit, charging him with fraud and other securities offences. (The Logic)
