Google, Microsoft spar in online-news spat


    A blog post by Kent Walker, the search-engine giant’s senior vice-president of global affairs, slammed rival Microsoft for making what he called “plain wrong” claims about Google’s relationship with news publishers. Meanwhile, Microsoft president Brad Smith claimed in written testimony to a U.S. antitrust subcommittee that Google has made news publishers dependent on its products. (The Logic)
