Freeland backs down on small-business tax change


After the Finance Department said at the end of June that the government wouldn’t yet apply a newly passed law making it easier to transfer control of small family businesses to younger generations, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland conceded that its Income Tax Act changes are actually in effect, after all. (The Logic)
