Cenovus, Cold Lake First Nations partner on solar power


    Under the terms of the 15-year deal, the Calgary-based oil and natural-gas company will purchase and deliver 150 megawatts of energy to Alberta’s energy grid from a facility developed by Cold Lake First Nations and B.C.-based renewable-energy project developer Elemental Energy. Though the plant expects to begin generating electricity by 2023, it is contingent on development permits. (The Logic)
