Ottawa is aiming to sign agreements with Indonesia within the next year and the ASEAN bloc by 2024, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said at an event in Singapore on Thursday. The desire of exporters like Australia, Canada, Europe and the U.S. to access the Chinese market has allowed Beijing to “play us off each other just a little bit in strategic ways,” he claimed, calling for a “concerted” approach between allies.
